The photos below are of sump pits sealed with either 1-piece or 2-piece removable custom fit Timmit fabricated 1/4"clear polycarbonate sump covers.

SUMP SEALING

  • ALL SUMPS WITH SINGLE DISCHARGE PIPES ARE COVERED WITH ONE PIECE CLEAR POLY-CARBONATE ¼” LIDS MADE TO FIT EITHER INSIDE THE SUMP BASIN OR ANCHORED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE SUMP WITH REMOVABLE CONCRETE SCREWS.

  • AN AIR-TIGHT SUMP SEAL IS MADE THROUGH THE USE OF RUBBER GROMMETS AND/OR CLEAR SILICONE CAULK.

  • ALL SUMPS WITH 2 DISCHARGE PIPES (USUALLY WHEN A BATTERY BACK-UP PUMP IS PRESENT) ARE  COVERED WITH TWO-PIECE CLEAR POLY-CARBONATE 1/4” LIDS SO AS NOT TO DISTURB THE INTEGRITY OF THE BACK-UP SYSTEM. CLEAR SILICONE CAULK AND/OR RUBBER GROMMETS ARE UTILIZED FOR THE AIR-TIGHT SEAL.
